What is a news story?

A brief and simple report of a recent event or recent news is known as a news story. The following components are frequently included in news stories:

  • Lead: The opening paragraph of the story, which provides a brief overview of the event or issue being reported on.

  • Body: The main part of the story, which provides more detailed information and context about the event or issue.

  • Quotes: Statements or comments from people involved in or affected by the event or issue, which help to provide additional insight and perspective.

  • Sources: Information about where the information in the story came from, such as interviews with witnesses or official statements from government agencies.

"Another Rhino Found Dead in Chitwan National Park"

The patrol team in the Chitwan National Park in Nepal found the rhino's carcass on the banks of the Narayani River early on Sunday. Given that the 18-year-old animal's horn and hooves remained undamaged, it is thought to have passed away naturally. In the previous six months, there have been seven rhino fatalities in the park. Two rhinos were discovered dead in a two-day span in December 2022, one from wounds received during a territorial dispute and the other from a tiger attack. The frequency of rhino deaths from natural causes and other mishaps has grown, despite a decline in rhino poaching incidents.
