What Are They?

Master the difference between describing words (adjectives) and action modifiers (adverbs).

Adjectives & Adverbs

Adjectives: Describes a noun/pronoun. It tells what kind, how many, color, etc.
(e.g., big, red, happy, honest)
Position: Before a noun or after be, look, seem, feel.
Adverbs: Describes a verb, an adjective, or another adverb. Tells how, when, where, how often.
(e.g., quickly, slowly, carefully, here)
